Code of Ethics, Terms & Membership Agreement

Code of Ethics

Upon acceptance into SheConnect Qatar, I agree to uphold the following principles throughout my membership:

1. I will provide services or products at the quality and pricing I have committed to.

2. I will be honest and transparent in my dealings with fellow members and their contacts.

3. I will foster goodwill, mutual respect, and trust within the SheConnect community.

4. I will take responsibility for following up on referrals or connections received.

5. I will maintain a positive, supportive, and professional attitude.

6. I will uphold the ethical standards of my profession at all times.

Where my profession is governed by a formal code of conduct with stricter standards, I agree to adhere to the higher standard.

1. Communication & Data Consent

By applying for or renewing membership, I consent to receive communications related to SheConnect activities, programs, and updates.

I understand that my professional and contact information may be shared internally within SheConnect Qatar for networking and collaboration purposes, and with trusted service providers where necessary for membership-related services, in accordance with applicable regulations in the State of Qatar.

2. Voluntary Membership

I understand that SheConnect membership is voluntary and does not constitute a partnership, joint venture, employment relationship, or agency between myself and SheConnect.

SheConnect does not guarantee business outcomes, referrals, financial returns, or specific results from membership participation.

3. Limitation of Liability

SheConnect Qatar, its leadership team, representatives, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from membership participation.

Any liability, if established, shall be limited to the annual membership fee paid for the applicable membership year.

4. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of or relating to membership or participation in SheConnect Qatar shall first be addressed through good-faith discussion.

If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to arbitration in accordance with the laws and regulations of the State of Qatar. Proceedings shall take place in Qatar in the English language, and the decision of the arbitrator(s) shall be final and binding.

5. Membership Term

Membership is valid for a period of one (1) year from the date of membership fee payment.

The official membership start date shall be the date on which the membership fee is received and confirmed by SheConnect Qatar.

Membership will expire one (1) year from that payment date unless renewed.

Renewal of membership requires:

1. 1.Signing the updated Code of Ethics & Membership Agreement (if applicable)

2. 2.Payment of the applicable annual membership fee

6. Membership Fees & Event Costs

The annual SheConnect membership fee grants access to the SheConnect community, network and communication platforms only.

Participation in SheConnect activities, including the mandatory meetups and showcases as well as the workshops, events, special programs and other gatherings is not included in the membership fee and may require separate participation charges. Applicable fees will be communicated in advance. 

7. Non-Refundable Fees

Membership fees are non-refundable once paid, without exception.

8. Participation & Attendance Policy

SheConnect Qatar is built on active participation, accountability, and commitment. Consistent attendance strengthens the value of the community for all members.

Monthly Meetups

• A separate monthly meetup fee will apply.

• The applicable fee and payment details will be communicated in advance.

Attendance

• Members are expected to attend monthly meetups and official SheConnect Showcase events as part of their commitment to the community. 

• Members may be excused only with a valid reason communicated to the leadership team in advance.

Absentee Policy

Absentee fees are applied to support venue, operational and organizational costs incurred for scheduled meetups.

If a member is unable to attend a scheduled meetup:

• With prior notice (and valid reason): Absentee fee of QAR 50

• Without prior notice: Absentee fee of QAR 70

Repeated absence, even with notice, may be reviewed by the leadership team and could impact membership status.

9. Community Conduct & Promotion Policy

Members are expected to promote their businesses in a respectful and non-disruptive manner within the SheConnect community spaces. Spamming, aggressive selling, misleading claims, or behavior that negatively impacts the collaborative spirit of the community may lead to warnings or review of membership status. 

SheConnect reserves the right to moderate community spaces and remove content that does not align with the community values.

10. Media & Event Photography Consent

By participating in SheConnect events, members consent to photographs, videos, or recordings that may be used for SheConnect’s promotional, educational, or marketing purposes.

If a member prefers not to appear in such media, they should inform the leadership team in advance.

11. Cancellation & Termination

SheConnect Qatar reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership in cases of:

1. Breach of the Code of Ethics

2. Conduct detrimental to the community

3. Repeated non-participation without valid reason

4. Misrepresentation of professional information

SheConnect Qatar reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership at its sole discretion if a member’s conduct is found to be detrimental to the community, its members or its reputation. 

12. Intellectual Property Clause

The SheConnect name, branding, concepts, and materials remain the intellectual property of SheConnect. Members may not replicate or represent SheConnect programs, workshops, or materials without written permission.

13. Certification & Declaration

I hereby declare that all information provided by me is true and accurate. I understand that any misrepresentation may result in rejection or termination of membership without refund.

I acknowledge that my membership is conditional upon compliance with the SheConnect Qatar Code of Ethics, Terms & Conditions, and Membership Policies.
